Is the health of our body relative to our mindset?

Once upon a time, we had to be physically active to meet our survival needs and maintain stability. Over recent generations the need to be physically active has greatly diminished, leaving us with underdeveloped, unhealthy bodies. To me, an underdeveloped, unhealthy body also represents a relative mindset, that lacks general common sense and awareness to meet our daily needs. Daily needs being, adequate sleep, balanced diet, proper hydration, regular exercise/stretching and to practice living a life of purpose are some examples.

It doesn’t matter how intelligent one becomes, if one isn’t able to know how to be healthy then being smart isn’t really “being smart.” We are the most intelligent we have ever been in our evolution, yet the unhealthiest.

Why is that?

Being intelligent and having common sense are two different states of mind and foster totally contrasting outcomes.

Being brilliant at reading, writing, math, history, geography, various sciences, speaking languages and acquiring religious knowledge doesn’t necessarily teach one how to be healthy.

“This is not wisdom!”

In fact, i have noticed, the more intelligent one is, the bigger the challenge to live in balance, if that information cannot be “practically applied” or “purposefully lived.”

One can easily get caught up in their intellect and never see how to meet their physical and emotional needs. One thing is to make bank, have a successful business and own material things, yet cannot discern when to drink water, eat balanced, healthy meals and know when to sleep, exercise and breathe correctly.

In my experience, having common sense to practically apply comes from the right side of the brain (creativity, imagination) and intellect lives in the left side (logic, reason, rationale)

Both must be practiced and integrated for balance and fulfillment otherwise breakdown of body and mind ensue.

For the most part, society spends too much time building the mind and less time meeting health practices that acquire common sense (wisdom)

I can solve a world problem, yet don’t know how to de-stress or know what healthy living is!!!!

The first step, is having the common sense to notice being out of balance, otherwise, one will continue to remain blind of the imbalance. Then seek someone who can help nurture that common sense that teaches lifestyle practices that establish wisdom.

Are you relying on the medical system for health?

Some of us know that exercise and a healthy diet is an important part of feeling youthful, maintaining health and keeps the body from decaying and atrophying. That old adage, comes to mind, “if you don’t use it you will surely lose it.”

In this country, statistics say 5% of females and 8% of males exercise with some regularity.

In my experience, that exemplifies the general consensus of awareness towards health as  “below par.” i feel, one of the main reasons is the lack of health education in schools, within the family unit and the work environment. It seems being healthy isn’t a priority or an important part of our conscious awareness, mainly due to the limited time spent on these topics. If it’s not brought to your attention, why would you consider it?

Yes. there is a health care system, which, for the most part, doesn’t educate us how to look after ourselves, but administers protocols (band aids) that teach us to be reliant on their system.

A ‘fix me doctor’ mentality, that inevitably ends in sickness. Relying on someone else to bring you health will always be a self fulling prophecy of dis-ease.

Many times over and more frequently, i hear the story of how using the medical system did not resolve their issues, but also increased symptoms and worsened their health. Treating symptoms can only result in a continued decline in health for all who attempt it,

We can understand this medical model is guaranteed ongoing financial success for all those involved and of no surprise why there’s inadequate “authentic” health education in our society.

Not only is this inadequate health system making bank, but keeping the masses unhealthy makes them more dependant and easier to control. The sicker i become the less awareness i have to actually know i am sick, therefore, the deeper i get suckered into it.

This is an unethical and unscrupulous, self serving model that causes more harm than good to most who choose this path.

One of the answers is to wake up, take back our lives and health and educate ourselves on health. If you don’t do it, nobody else will do it for you!!!
