Our story from birth.

Correcting posture by improving movement patterns isn’t just for physical benefits, but emotional, mental and spiritual benefits too.

Many humans in today’s modern society are lacking optimal infant development processes due to environmental changes that undermine or restrict proper movement. Without going down the scientific and spiritual rabbit hole of why… let’s just say, there is a vast difference between learning to physically survive the demands of nature from whence we originated from, in contrast with today’s reduced physical requirements that the modern world asks of us. In short, our physical capacity has declined, which ultimately sets us up for a myriad of physical conditions, poor posture, unstable joints that cause pain, balance issues and uncoordinated movement, to touch on a few. These conditions of the muscles, bones and nerves also cause symptoms pertaining to mental and emotional health. If the posture is distorted, sub optimal function of the organs and glands will result which cause compensations to breathing, digestion, lymphatic drainage, attitude, energy levels, emotional unrest and much more. Correcting posture by improving movement patterns isn’t just for physical benefits, but emotional, mental and spiritual benefits too.

In my experience, movement and thinking interaction is what creates and manifests our story of self and life.

In this video, I’m demonstrating various infant exercises that the infant performs within the first 3-9months of development.

Our story

At birth, our first sense of perception is movement, intimately accompanied with touch, closely followed by smell, taste, hearing and vision and usually in this order.

As movement is the first sense of perception, it becomes the foundation and blueprint to inform, influence and shape how the five senses teach us how to perceive the external environment (reality). This could be phrased, “the way you move, greatly determines the way you think.”

A newborn’s volitional (free will) movement patterns result in response from the interaction between the external environment (time, space, energy, gravity, others) and the newborn’s internal response to those stimuli (mental, emotional, spiritual). This external/internal experiential feedback loop is physically expressed via certain actions of pushing (expanding/ opening)  or pulling (contracting/closing) contingent on how the newborn energetically perceives any experience. Thus, whether the movements are faulty or correct, the five senses will develop in relative fashion.

As a side note, a certain level of movement developments have already been established in the womb and carry over into birth,  in accordance with how the fetus experienced itself in that 9- month gestation period.

In my experience, this movement and thinking interaction is what creates and manifests our story of self and life.

A reflex is an action that is produced from a response to a stimulus without conscious thought and is primarily controlled by the perceived interaction with the environment and all it contains

Basic principles of movement

At the root of all movement underlies primitive reflexes, righting/tilting reactions and equilibrium responses (i.e. motor skill development). These varied reflexes create and establish the neural pathways within the low, mid and fore brain, allowing the mind to express itself in movement. A reflex is an action that is produced from a response to a stimulus without conscious thought and is primarily controlled by the perceived interaction with the environment and all it contains, hence, the established movement pattern and sense of perception become one and inseparable.

Healthy movement mechanics is a synergistic relationship between the body, limbs, pelvis, head and neck, that coordinate together from the abdominal area, to enable rhythm, tone and an energy flow that represents congruence of mind, body and spirit.

Reflexes create neural information, originating from mechanoreceptors throughout the body and located in joints, tendons, muscle spindle cells, skin, etc., which are stimulated from any chosen movement (conscious or otherwise).  Mechanoreceptors are biological transducers that convert a neuromechanical stimulus (movement) into neurochemical information (thought).  This scientific concept, is the mind and body naturally expressing themselves as one integrated system.

The nagging physical compensations that you might own today are primarily due to developmental stages that were incomplete, skipped or avoided due to the environmental conditions you were under during those early years.

By revisiting those compensated movement patterns that compromise your quality of life, through my knowledge, guidance and support, you are able to not only improve and eradicate the functions of your physical body, but the mental and emotional and spiritual parts too.

Healthy movement mechanics is a synergistic relationship between the body, limbs, pelvis, head and neck, that coordinate together from the abdominal area, to enable rhythm, tone and an energy flow that represents congruence of mind, body and spirit.

The body and its constituent parts move through and from the center to unite as one integrated whole moving system for efficient motor programming and optimal restoration.

Our own movement patterns, when executed correctly, are the foundation for better health, good posture and higher knowledge!

The more coordinated and complete this unification becomes, the better the reflexes and neurological pathways develop, for optimal motor sensory and sensory-motor input.

Then you story of self and life changes to become more whole and complete!
